DXVX Signs Research Contract with POSTECH for Bio-material Component Development

2024.07.10

DXVX announced on the 10th that it will partner with the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and the Department of Chemical Engineering at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) to develop bio-material components that will revolutionize the diagnostic industry.

DXVX stated on the 10th that it has signed a research service contract with POSTECH for the development of bio-material components. Through two years of joint research, they plan to lead innovations in diagnostic technology and commercialize world-class bio-material components.

This research is based on the achievements of the 'LNP process development' that has been jointly developed with POSTECH since last year and aims to expand the field to the development of bio-material components. The plan is not just to develop the technology but to commercialize major bio-material component businesses based on the research results. It is expected that this will help localize the bio-material field, which has been dependent on imports, and enable entry into the global market.

In particular, combining DXVX's diagnostic and new drug development technology with POSTECH's outstanding materials research capabilities in the Departments of Materials Science and Engineering and Chemical Engineering, it is expected that the possibility of commercialization success and the time to market for products can be significantly shortened.

The bio-material components developed in this research are expected to be utilized in various industrial fields such as medical devices, bio-sensors, and drug delivery systems, in addition to the diagnostic field.

A representative from DXVX stated, "Through this research cooperation, we hope to develop innovative technologies that will lead the future of the diagnostic industry and ultimately contribute to the improvement of human health." They also revealed, "Through confidential research, we expect to unveil related new products in the second half of next year."

A representative from POSTECH said, "We will do our best to develop world-class material component technology through cooperation with DXVX and contribute to the development of the diagnostic industry."

With this research collaboration, DXVX plans to further strengthen its partnership with POSTECH and establish itself as an innovative company leading future industries through continuous research and development.
